Outdoor Venetian Blinds:

The 35 mm, 50 mm, and 65 mm venetian blinds are ideal for externally shading windows or for installation on terraces and balconies. These blind models meet high standards of strength and safety, are certified, and are eligible for tax deductions.
The 65 mm venetian blinds slide in solid steel tracks, making them the safest choice for installation on balconies and terraces.
Venetian Blind Components
Let’s start with the basics: how is a venetian blind made? Below, we’ll see in detail the basic components of your next blind.
Cassette
It’s the top part of the blind, where all the blind’s mechanisms are housed, and which ensures its attachment through brackets. It is color-matched with the slats (unless otherwise specified).
The dimensions of the cassette vary depending on the type of blind and its size. For blinds with 15 mm and 25 mm slats, a 25 mm cassette is used, or – in the case of motorized operation – a 55 mm cassette.
For blinds with 35 mm slats, we use a 35 mm cassette for the single rod control and a 55 mm cassette for motorized control. For blinds with 50 mm and 65 mm slats, 55 mm cassettes are used.
Control
Each blind model provides multiple operating options, to be able to pack or open the venetian blind and to be able to orient the slats in the desired direction.
Manual control types can be placed on both the right and left sides, depending on preference; the power supply for electric motor operation, however, is fixed and depends on the size of the venetian blind and the gear motor used.

Slats
They constitute the actual blind. They are made of aluminum and are available in a wide variety of colors and special finishes. We make blinds with slats of various widths, suitable for different purposes, both for indoor and outdoor use. The slats are supported and controlled through ladder cords or tapes.
It is important to pay attention to both the width of the slat (indicated as the thickness of the blind) and the stacking size (which you can calculate using the tables provided on each product page), to avoid that your future blind may obstruct doors and windows.
Guides and End Stops
The guides ensure that the movement of the blind is always perpendicular to the cassette and parallel to the blind. Generally, they are not necessary for indoor blinds; they become indispensable when the blinds need to be mounted on inclined surfaces (roof windows, tilt windows, etc.), or outside, where they must be secured to avoid damage in case of wind.
The end stop prevents accidental blocks that could jam or damage the blind.
Types of Control and Operation of Venetian Blinds
Our venetian blinds offer a wide range of operating and control options, allowing you to quickly and comfortably manage the amount of light that can filter through. Depending on the size of the venetian blind and the thickness of its slats, multiple choices are available to ensure the best handling.

Cord and Wand Control
The blind can be operated using a thin cord, while slat orientation can be adjusted using a transparent wand. The control can be positioned on the right or left, depending on your needs.
This option is available on almost all blinds and is the most common choice for manual blind operation.
Single Chain Control
Using the PVC chain, you can both move the blind and adjust the slat orientation. The control can be positioned on the right or left, depending on your needs.
This option is available on venetian blinds with slat thickness of 15mm and 25mm and is recommended for small-sized blinds.
Single Rod Control
With the single rod control (also available with 45° and 90° return wand), you can move the blind and adjust the slat orientation, for complete control over the amount of filtered light.
This type of control is available on all blinds. It is particularly suitable for blinds that cover large openings or may be heavy to operate.
It is also available in a quick-release version, allowing you to remove the wand with a single gesture.
Motorized Control
This type of control involves an electric motor to operate the blind via a control panel or remote control. Depending on the desired solution, a specific control unit may be required, so it is advisable to seek advice from your trusted electrician or contact our support.
This type of control is available on all blinds. However, depending on the size and dimensions of the blind, different motors are used which may have different power supply and operating conditions.
Brackets and Installation
Our venetian blinds can be installed on the wall or ceiling using various brackets and mounting methods, tailored to the needs of each individual.

Side Guides: When are they essential?
The venetian blind can be guided on both sides:
- up to 50 mm, with a Perlon® cord on both sides of the blind, passing through holes in the slats;
for blinds with 65 mm slats, through side guides (single or double track) made of steel, within which the slats slide.
The guides are necessary for venetian blinds mounted outside or with an inclined winding axis, as in the case of tilt windows. The cord is fixed to the bracket underneath the blind and must be tensioned through the provided bracket.
Measuring the Length of the Cord or Wand
In the case of operation via cord, chain, or wand, it’s essential to correctly measure their length. This depends on the height at which the blind will be installed: the measurement should be taken from the estimated position of the cassette to the operating height of the blind.
Pay particular attention if the blind is to be installed in spaces frequented by children, especially if the chosen control is cord or chain-operated, trying to estimate the operating height out of their reach.
Bracket for 15 and 25 mm Blinds
This type of bracket is suitable for most applications, both for wall and ceiling mounting.
They require drilling of the support, whether it’s the window frame upright, the wall, or the ceiling. The bracket should then be fixed using screws or wall plugs, not included in the product.
U-Bracket for Side Guides (15 and 25 mm)
The venetian blind can be guided on both sides by a Perlon® cord, if specified in the order. This type of guide is essential for venetian blinds mounted with an inclined winding axis, such as tilt windows.
The cord is fixed to the bracket underneath the blind and must be tensioned through the provided bracket.
Bracket for 35, 50, and 65 mm Blinds
For this type of blind, a single type of universal bracket is available, allowing for ceiling mounting.
For wall mounting, L-shaped brackets are required to secure the support, which are not included.
These supports require drilling into the ceiling. The bracket should then be fixed using screws or wall plugs, not included in the product.
L-Bracket for Side Guides (35 and 50 mm)
The venetian blind can be guided on both sides by a Perlon® cord, if specified in the order. This type of guide is essential for venetian blinds mounted outside or with an inclined winding axis.
The cord is fixed to the bracket underneath the blind and must be tensioned through the provided bracket.
